Located on National Highway 1, Grand Trunk Road, Karnal lies midway between Delhi and Chandigarh, serving as a convenient gateway to many cities in Haryana, Punjab, UP and Himachal. Being a peaceful area, sparsely populated, blessed with abundant flora and fauna, strengthened by the Yamuna canal and accessible due to sound rail connection, it has all the features to attract migration from the surrounding areas but so far lack of good townships did not make that human flow possible.
